Press Release
ACEBLUE acquires Nautilus Diving Center in Dakar to Strengthen Senegal’s Position as a Premier Technical and Wreck Diving Destination
Dakar, Senegal — [December 16th, 2025] — ACEBLUE, a French investment company active in West Africa since 2018, accompanied with local investors, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Nautilus Diving Center, a pioneering dive operation based in Dakar, Senegal, with a total investment of over 200 million CFA francs. This amount includes the acquisition of the business and, above all, new investments in equipment modernization, international marketing and team strengthening.
This is Aceblue’s third investment in Senegal, following the IT services company Kewel and the participation in the Teranga Capital vehicle, dedicated to financing and supporting Senegalese SMEs alongside Strategic Investment Fund Of Sénégal (FONSIS). This strategic move reflects Aceblue’s commitment to developing the country’s immense potential as a world-class diving destination.
Founded and operated with passion by Philippe and Hilda, Nautilus has long been recognized as one of the leading diving centers in West Africa, recognized for its technical expertise, high safety standards, and unique location around Gorée, the Cap-Vert peninsula, and Dakar’s numerous wrecks. With this acquisition, Aceblue aims to build on that legacy by expanding the center’s offerings and international reach.
Aceblue expresses its gratitude to Hilda and Philippe, historical managers, for their trust and for transferring a well‑established center.
In the coming years, Nautilus’ mission will be to position Senegal as a premier destination for technical diving, wreck diving, and high-quality all-inclusive experiences designed for visiting dive centers and enthusiasts from around the world.
The existing Nautilus team will remain in place, ensuring continuity, professionalism, and the same level of service that divers have come to expect. Aceblue is also delighted to announce the appointment of Loïc Geisen—a former diver of the center, now a certified instructor—as the new general manager of Nautilus Diving Center. Loïc’s deep connection to the center and his expertise make him ideally suited to lead this new chapter.
Ten years ago, diving transformed my life. I discovered a fascinating world and a community driven by ocean respect. Philippe and Hilda passed on more than skills: a vocation. I am honored to take the lead of Nautilus today — Loic Geisen, Nautilus’ General Manager
Loïc’s arrival marks a new milestone for Nautilus. His rigor and passion will strengthen the center’s operational excellence. As President and investor through Aceblue, I am confident he will growth Nautilus as the leading diving reference in Senegal and West Africa. — Julie Dumortier, Owner
Aceblue looks forward to welcoming divers from across the globe to experience the rich marine life, historic wrecks, and unique underwater volcanic landscapes that make Senegal an exceptional and largely undiscovered destination.
